Filming Research

Here we have looked at the map of london, for example we know we need to get to charing cross via the northern line, this will also be able to take us to waterloo where we can get to Big Ben and the London Eye and then from the northern line we can get a tube from Lester square to Piccadilly circus.  

From researching into places we can and cant film, we are not allowed to film on South Bank as this is private property and to be able to film there we will need to contact authorities to get a permit to be able to film there. This is not a problem for us seeing as we do not have to film there. 

In my last post regarding the cruises and the big red bus we will need to discuss this as a group to find out the best thing to do. The reason we wanted to do one of these is because we knew we wasn't allowed to film on trains and certain transport and we didn't want to risk getting a fine or arrested! So by doing the cruise or the red bus we are allowed to film without landing ourself in trouble. 

London day out research

Here are some of the things I have looked into for when we film. I have looked on various websites that all have different prices and special offers so I can find the cheapest one. Although it may be expensive I think it would be good that we have a range of options and are able to get around the whole of London that we need too. We are also planning on going to Camden so it fits in with our genre. At the moment I am in the middle of searching filming permits and whether or not we will need to contact anyone. So far from what I have found it looks like we will be alright seeing as there will only be three of us. 

Feedback

This is our feedback from our questionnaire, I think people have been fair with us as this is the whole reason for the feedback. We will adapt the negative feedback as positive for the reason that we will then work on what people do not like and then also what they do like and make it better. 

Audience Profile

For our brief to tell the class my job was to write about the target audience and below is what we have discussed to be our target audience. 

For our target audience we have aimed our music and style of the band towards female teenagers, possibly in college or at a 6^th form. We have chosen a wide age gap because as our band is around that age it would fit in and we would attract the ‘teenagers’. Also because our bands psychographics are that of a party animal, but also one who is very interested in the music industry. We said the style would be one who hasn’t stuck to the mainstream conventions, because the audience dislikes were wannabes, girlie girls and girls who are more interested in the latest fashion and copying the ‘popular’ girls. We wanted our audience to be carefree and be able to be who they want to be, so there fore this would fit the ‘indie’ stereotypes.  However we have decided that the oldest age group we would probably appeal to would be around 25, this is because older people may be into the ‘calm’ nature of music, and 25 is around the age everyone comes to an end of the partying every weekend.

The Killers are an American rock band formed in Las Vegas, in 2001, by Brandon Flowers (lead vocals, keyboards) and Dave Keuning (guitar, backing vocals). Mark Stoermer (bass, backing vocals) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (drums, percussion) would complete the current line-up of the band in 2002.

Kaiser Chiefs are a British indie rock band from Leeds who formed in 1996. The band consists of lead vocalist Ricky Wilson, guitarist Andrew "Whitey" White, bassist Simon Rix, keyboardist Nick "Peanut" Baines and drummer Vijay Mistry. Founding member drummer and co-songwriter Nick Hodgson left the band in late 2012.

Mainstream Artist

Oliver Stanley "Olly" Murs is an English singer-songwriter, musician and television presenter. Murs rose to fame after finishing as the runner-up in the sixth series of The X Factor in 2009.

Olly has had various number 1s and has also been in the top charts for other music videos and tracks.
