Calendar

Here I have circled the days in red that I cannot film, although I have work and do not get my schedule until a few days before the next week I am able to book time off as you can see I have done for Friday the 6th and Saturday the 7th. All other days are available at the moment unless something for work comes up but me and the girls can work around this as we all have days that we will not be able to make.

Photos

These are the photos we took for our digipak, I am very pleased with how theses have turned out. They are so much better than our last attempt and we are a lot more equipped this time round. The outfits were planned and the shots we were taking we planned as well. The next step is filming which we will plan at some point this week or next.

Story boards

These are our story boards that have been recently finished. I am pleased with how the story boards are looking because it makes us more driven to get the filming started. The locations we decided to visit are London, Danson Park and then our journeys around to different places. We have taken into consideration the complications of filming in public places and we have found ways around that. 

First lot of danson photos

These our first lot of photos, however after discussions with our teacher we have decided we need to change our photos as they don't really represent us and the genre we are trying to create. We will be re doing these and taking a lot more inspiration from other bands that are in the ' indie ' category.

New typography

From getting our feedback from the class, they have decided that maybe our typography isn't the best for our genre of music. So after hearing this we have decided to find other fonts that display our genre more clearly than our one we have now.

Here are some examples we have found:

My favorite is the bottom 'Leaf 1' because it fits in with our genre and unlike the other one it hasn't made people think of a horror genre. This is more light and natural and fits in with the nature feel. Although my favourite is that one, I have struggled to use it for my digipak due to the colours and it being quite a thin text, so in the end I have gone with the middle one, as this is still similar to the bottom one, but stand out a bit more

5th November

Journal Entry: 

Today we decided to start taking photos for our digipak. Since the weather has been bad we haven't been able to take any. So we went to Danson park because of the scenery. Overall the photos turned out pretty good as we have decided we do not need any more. However if our teacher disagrees we will have to take some more. We tried to go for the natural look so we took 2 photos at a time to catch us of guard and the best ones seemed to be the second photo as it didn't look too forced. However we did have a serious tone to the photos

Main Props

Our main props for the photos for our digipaks are an acoustic guitar as this will play a big part throughout the whole of our idea. By using an acoustic guitar it will make the group seem more relaxed and quite calm as this is what an acoustic guitar is meant to do. We will be using alcohol bottles and microphones and the scenery to create the mood of the party from the ' night before '.

 

Story boarding- 23rd October

Journal Entry:

Yesterday during our lesson the girls and I decided that we would start our story boards and we have used Goodwin's theory to do with the textual references and lyrics.
We couldn't film yesterday because of the weather but we then throughout the evening the sun came out and the weather was perfect to take our photos for our digipaks, however we had no props because we assumed the weather was going to stay bad.



I am happy with our progress so far as we have done a lot of planning to make this idea work. We are going to start taking photos in half term and we have all decided that this will gave to be a last minute thing as the weather is unpredictable at the moment.

Props

As we are taking photos tomorrow we don't need lots of props like we would if we needed to film. We have decided on our outfits and what we will present ourselves like.
I have decided to wear a indie cardigan, and boots, I am still unsure on what else to wear, however I will decide when I am home. I also want my hair to be big and messy and my make up the same.

The only difficultly that we have come across so far is being able to take the photos, we would ideally need someone else to be taking the photos as we are the ones who will be in them. However with a tripod I am sure we will be able to manage it.

Places to film

Here are places we want to film and take photos, we wanted to record in places such as various locations around London, Camden and also places like the woods and also parks.

Godwins theory consists of visuals and the lyrics matching, so we have decided things like the Big Ben ( tower) which will match the lyrics to our chosen song.

We decided to keep the actors as ourselfs to avoid complications with other members, we wanted to avoid the dramas of last year where we had to rely on other people and if they let us down we would be behind. So by us all being our own actors we don't have to rely on others. We also live very close to each other so we can meet up easily and help each other.
